Todd Stephen—born Todd Sclafani—is a Detroit-raised musician, songwriter, and producer whose work blends heartfelt storytelling with a genre-defying sound. With roots that stretch from alternative rock to modern Trop Rock and Country, Todd has spent more than three decades shaping a musical identity defined by emotional honesty, melodic depth, and an unshakeable connection to the places and people that inspire him.

Before embarking on his solo career, Todd fronted and performed with several regional bands, including Hiding in Thailand, Subdivine, and Beating Reason. Throughout these years, he performed at venues of every size—most notably the legendary Harpo’s in Detroit—and took the stage at major events such as the Ernie Ball Stage on the Vans Warped Tour, experiences that cemented his reputation as a dynamic and compelling live performer.  

Transitioning into his solo career as Todd Stephen, he has embraced a more personal, narrative driven approach to songwriting. His most recent album, Beaches and Bonfires, marks a vibrant evolution in his sound, blending Trop Rock’s sun-soaked ease with the grounded storytelling tradition of Country music. The record celebrates escape, reflection, and the simple joys found in unexpected moments—an authentic expression of Todd’s artistic growth and evolving worldview.
