Based in Los Angeles and born in Houston Texas, her mission is to create art that reflects society’s positive aspects back onto itself, causing a ripple effect that expands as it is heard. Her intention is to share healing via collaborative experience and understanding through performance. She is for the peaceful gathering of community through means of song, voice, and action. Through music, Kendra & the Bunnies combines song, spoken word, theatrical staging, and healing ritual to transpose the audience into a mystical-surrender of now.

Kendra Muecke is a 26 year old singer/songwriter, guitarist, poet, novelist, actress, healer, and published author performing musically as a solo act under the name “Kendra & the Bunnies”. Based in Los Angeles and born in Houston Texas, her mission is to create art that reflects society’s positive aspects back onto itself, causing a ripple effect that expands as it is heard. Her intention is to share healing via collaborative experience and understanding through performance. She is for the peaceful gathering of community through means of song, voice, and action. Through music, Kendra & the Bunnies combines song, spoken word, theatrical staging, and healing ritual to transpose the audience into a mystical-surrender of now.

Kendra & the Bunnies’ sound combines the musical notes of singing, poetry, guitar (electric and acoustic), percussion, medicine drum, and electronic samples. Kendra has self-titled her genre “Native Americana’ that chants from the valleys of Folk, Western-Rock, and New-School Blues”. This brings the listener into thinking about where the roots of folk-americana were founded. There is a lot of storytelling prevalent in the creation and continuation of our country, the key is recognizing what stories we as a society cling to and why.

Her style has been said to remind listeners of Grace Slick from Jefferson Airplane if she were to be singing Grateful Dead songs. It’s like Joni Mitchell and Stevie Nicks sat down to play a game of poker and Neil Young were the dealer.

Kendra & the Bunnies’ first album, “of Vinyl” debuted on July 5, 2019. “of Vinyl” is a singer-songwriter approach to the allegoric heartlands of love. Her second musical body of work is the EP, “of Always”, released on September 6, 2019. “of Always” is an ode to the muse in the moon, singing she will always listen, relate, and respond. Since her musical debut in January 2019, Kendra has acquired more than 20,000 streams on Spotify. Her music has been well-received by her audience, landing her interviews and music reviews with publications like Vents Magazine, The Littlest Voice, Mob Angeles, Mob York City, Indie Star Radio, Indie Pulse Music, NeuFutur Magazine, Buzz-Music LA, Queen City Sounds & Art, Gashouse Radio, Triple HQ, ParaPOP Music and more. Kendra has also been featured on several podcasts: Mr. Thrive’s Stars of Tomorrow, The Artist’s Process with Matt J. Doyle, and BSquared Magazine’s Be A Force Podcast.

In 2019, her musical act, Kendra & the Bunnies performed over 25 shows in the Los Angeles area. She also performed 4 shows in New York City area. While visiting New York City, she recorded with a record label in Brooklyn, Leesta Vall Sound Recordings. She additionally performed three shows in Houston and Austin, Texas in 2019, and has several upcoming gigs in the Los Angeles area, including the iconic Viper Room on the Sunset Strip.

Kendra Muecke as writer, poet, and novelist is prolific as well. Many of her songs originate as poems. Her first 340 page book of poetry one-act plays, and philosophical essays is titled “The Politics of” and was released in November 2017. Her second book of poetry titled, “Project Non-Arch: Operation Clown School” was published on September 13, 2019. It is a long-form prose look into cultural conditioning in America. She is currently comprising her third book of poetry that is looking to be in the over-hundreds-of-pages range, and she is also writing a novel which is a memoir with a non-fiction fantastical edge.

As an actress, Kendra has been studying professional acting, theatre, and singing since the spry age of 4. She is classically trained for the stage in Shakespeare, Stanislavski, Meisner, Uta Hagen, Musical Theatre, and improvisational acting techniques. She is very experienced in film-acting as well, using the emotional recall method. Today, she recites her original written poetry as monologue alongside her singing/songwriting and healing performances. She is currently studying at Groundling’s Theatre in LA. Kendra graduated from Pepperdine University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre Arts (Acting) in 2015. She additionally studied in the Independent Artists Program at the Musicians Institute in 2019.
